A young brand with centuries-old historical roots
We are growing our grapes in two regions in the Republic of Moldova on a total land of 4,5 hectares

Moldova has a predominantly moderate-continental climate. It is characterized by relatively mild winters, prolonged hot summers, limited rainfall, and long dry periods in the south. The average annual air temperature increases from 8-9°C in the north to 10-11°C in the south. The average annual precipitation is 600-650 mm in the center of the country and 500-550 mm in the south, largely influenced by the terrain features. Due to climate changes in Moldova over the past 10 years, the climate is gradually becoming sharply continental.
In our vineyards, we grow 2 native varieties: FETEASCA REGALĂ, FETEASCA NEAGRĂ, and 2 European varieties: CABERNET SAUVIGNON and MERLOT.
Additionally, we work with 7 other white and red varieties, which we carefully source from our colleagues: Saperavi, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Rară Neagră, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling.
Our winery is equipped with modern bottling and packaging equipment. We seal our wines with three types of closures – Cork, Screw Cap, and the new advanced Green Line closure. We make a conscious choice of closure material for each wine, ensuring stable quality, with the aim of preserving the aroma and taste of our wines for many years. Using Green Line closures is our contribution to the planet’s sustainability (Sustainability)
We use selective yeasts, choosing specific strains for each grape variety and controlling fermentation temperature to ensure process stability and bring out all the nuances of the variety.
In this way, we create vibrant, balanced wines with typical varietal aromas and flavors, enhanced texture, and a long, memorable finish.
In our winery, we use French and American oak barrels from the renowned French company Tonnellerie Quintessence, with various levels and styles of toasting. Château long, Ambre, Bourgogne – these are just a few of the toasting styles we apply.
This allows us to create wines with complex aromas, from vanilla and spices to deeper notes of leather, tobacco, and smoke, improving the wine’s structure for a refined and well-balanced profile.
VINUM
We are a family company with a long tradition in winemaking. Our history began more than 2 centuries ago, back in 1806. Exact on there year our progenitors, by the will of fate, moved from North-Eastern Bulgaria to the southern Bessarabia.
Since then, nine generations of our family have not parted with the grape. From father to son, we pass on knowledge and experience in growing grapes and producing wine. The modern generation of our family has more than 25 years of experience in winemaking. In our work we combine the traditions of Moldavian winemaking and knowledge of the most modern world technologies.
We work hard to deliver exclusive wines, produced individually and under strict supervision at a mini winery in Moldova. Manual harvesting as well as minimal processing of grapes allows us to bring and preserve their freshness, aroma and taste to all connoisseurs of quality wines. Our wine, having absorbed years of experience in Moldovan winemaking combined with modern Italian technologies, represents the embodiment of fertile soils, our efforts and our soul deposited in a single glass.

The ancestors migrate from northern Bulgaria to southern Bessarabia, in the place Cioc Maidan.
Gancho Todorov Uzhakov plants a vineyard in the village of Taraclia.
A wine cellar was built in the village of Taraclia. The founding of the family winery.
The Țiganca sovkhoz-winery was founded. Six members of the Uzhakov family worked at the winery at different times.
Stepanida Ivanovna Uzhakova was recognized as the best pruner of the sovkhoz, awarded the medal for labor valor and a "golden" pruning shear.
