Merlot

Dry red wine from the Valul lui Traian region. Deep ruby colour with violet reflections. Nose — ripe plum, black cherry, blueberry, French oak. Medium-to-full body, velvety tannins, smooth structure. Notes of vanilla and spice. Long, persistent finish with dark fruit echoes.

Pairs with: beef (filet mignon, côte de bœuf), Provençal herb lamb, pork confit, truffles, aged hard and semi-hard cheeses (comté, manchego, pecorino), pasta al ragù.
